Trnavský šermiarsky cech - historical fencing

Trnavský šermiasky cech (Fencing guild of Trnava) is fencing group, with early beginnings in year 1999. Original target, presenting of historical fencing, has by the time changed to fencing guild, with main focus on deep study of primal fencing manuscripts (fechtbuch) and following reconstruction of original martial methods and approaches (master Lichtenawer's Kunst des Fechtens). On the field of research of original Lichtenauer's fencing art is the oldest group and gains its best outcomes.

Second part of our concern is to acquaint ourselfs with European culture. Main targets of reconstruction are historical costumes, weapons and artifacts of 15. century, specifically period 1450 - 1480.

Trnavský šermiarsky cech is one of the founders of Gesellschaft Lichtenawers, multi-group organization affiliating societies and groups of people addicted to reconstruction of Lichtenauer-based fencing system.
